A thumping partnership between Ruben and Rinku and regular rescue man Amin ,boost Bengal Tigers to win the 4th league match against Tampere yesterday. This significant partnership of 77 not only helped the visitors to make a surviving total on screboard but also covered the poor batting performance of Bengal tigers with 5 ducks. Batting first ,Tigers put 147 where Amin and Ruben contributed with 3o runs each and Rinku scocred 33. Defending the poor total of 147 was really a taugh job when generous bowlers of Bengal tigers given away 25 wides. However, Rubel picked 4 wickets to put Tampere CC in a situation where they were 92 for 8. But some committed cricket in their 9th and 10th wicket partnership frastrated Bengals till the very end and they only needed 7 runs from 12 balls after 9 down. Shakil Sr. for tigers has the tough job when he came to bowl his first over of the match in that dramatic moment. 1 wide and 2 runs brought Tampere even closer to their need but a well judged catch from Shakil jr made a 4 runs win for the Tigers. It was really fantastic cricket and a nervous ending for both of the teams. Though Tigers managed to get a away in the close contest, lesson must learn and batting must be improved specially from the top orders. BTCC like to remind the players that practise on Monday is a must and everyone should be at the practise on time.
